Job Description

Division/Program Summary:
The Bureau of Early Intervention is a comprehensive interagency program that supports infants and children with developmental delays in their efforts to realize their full potential. It reduces the likelihood of delays among at-risk children assists and empowers families to meet their childs and their own needs and entitles children regardless of race ethnicity or income to services through the program.

Position Summary:
This position reports to two of the medical units within the Bureau of Early Intervention: the ESU with processing and reviewing multidisciplinary evaluations and assisting with other projects aimed at improving the quality of services provided; and the ATU with overseeing the procurement of assistive technology devices to children in EI.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing administrative assistance with the implementation and execution of the processes of the Evaluation Standards and Assistive Technology Units.
- Requesting service coordination/evaluation record notes from provider agencies and entering/reviewing data in spreadsheets ESU application ATU Tracker EI-Hub.
- Reviewing submissions in EI electronic case files for completeness.
- Preparing documents with expert knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs using various Microsoft applications. Preparing emails and documents for distribution. Creating forms and entering information.
- Performing other administrative duties as required.
- Completing any other tasks as assigned.

PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOC - 10124

Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in 1 above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in 1 above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 2 or 3 above. However all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in 1 above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in 1 above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
