Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant / Admin to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff, providing high-quality care, and providing some administrative support to our admin and clinical teams. This position requires experience in primary care and exceptional concierge service. You will be providing care for a high performing and sophisticated population.

Responsibilities

• Adept with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories medications, allergies, and documenting chief complaints
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Support physicians with procedures preparation of medication administration, injections, and basic care as allowed in scope of practice
• Operate and maintain EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient information and medical records per instruction of provider
• Support medical administrative functions including appointment scheduling, referrals, and patient education
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed in accordance with hospital standards
• Assist in emergency situations utilizing Basic Life Support (BLS) skills
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety regulation
• Assisting or provide coverage as a medical receptionist at the front desk as needed

Experience

• Prior experience working in primary care required.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
• Familiarity with basic life support protocols and emergency response procedures
• Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach to care
• Strong team player in a collaborative environment
• Thorough understanding of the scope of practice of an MA in New York State

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.85 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
