Estimator - Positions available throughout the Southeast and East Coast Position Overview The Estimator is responsible for assessing project costs and preparing detailed estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions, contributing to the overall success of the company's projects.
Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to understand project requirements and scope.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial painting and coatings projects.
- Analyze labor, materials, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to clarify project needs and requirements.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and services.
- Monitor project costs and provide updates to management throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications - Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial painting or coatings industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial painting processes, materials, and coatings.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in cost estimation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
