Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to support a well-established law firm in San Diego. This role involves providing high-level administrative and legal support to attorneys handling both transactional and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Manage attorney calendars, coordinate meetings and travel, and assist with client communications.
  • Handle electronic court filings (State and Federal), discovery processes, and trial preparation.
  • Support client onboarding, including conflict checks and billing setup.
  • Enter and review attorney time entries to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, conference calls, and remote sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and foster professional relationships with attorneys, clients, and staff.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of legal secretarial experience in a law firm setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document formatting.
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and e-filing systems.
  • Typing speed of 60+ wpm with high accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
