This role is essential in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every guest, whether they’re asking about menu items, orders, or employment opportunities.

Position SummaryThe Remote Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for GSR Group’s employees. This includes ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time, complying with tax regulations, and maintaining confidential employee payroll records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess bi-weekly/monthly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including all earnings, deductions, and benefits.
Ensure accuracy in payroll processing by reviewing and verifying employee timesheets, attendance, and commissions.
Calculate and apply overtime, bonuses, and other special payroll adjustments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including tax withholdings, garnishments, and other deductions.
Prepare and file payroll-related reports, including tax filings, wage statements, and other compliance documents.
Stay updated on changes to tax laws and labor regulations that affect payroll.
Reconcile payroll records to ensure accuracy before processing payments.
Prepare and generate payroll-related reports for HR and Finance departments.
Review payroll-related discrepancies and work with employees and departments to resolve issues.
Maintain confidential employee payroll records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
Administer employee benefits enrollments, deductions, and updates in the payroll system.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax matters in a timely and professional manner.
Use payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or other tools) to process and track payroll information.
Assist in the integration of payroll systems with HR and timekeeping software.
Ensure that all payroll data is securely stored and protected in accordance with company policies and compliance regulations.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in payroll processing or a related role.
Solid knowledge of payroll best practices and tax regulations.
Experience using payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paycor, or other relevant platforms).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all payroll tasks.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Preferred:
Certification in payroll processing (e.g., CPP – Certified Payroll Professional) or similar qualification.
Experience with remote payroll processing and managing payroll across multiple states or countries.
Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) integration for payroll.
Knowledge of benefits administration and employee taxation policies.
Attention to Detail: Accurately manages payroll data and identifies discrepancies.
Confidentiality: Handles sensitive employee data with discretion and security.
