Job Description

We are working with a well-established construction company in the El Paso market seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who can manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while partnering closely with Superintendents to deliver successful commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
• Lead buyout, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with plans
• Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
• Forecast costs, manage project financials, and protect project profitability
• Identify risks early and proactively implement solutions
• Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
• Oversee project closeout, documentation, and turnover

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects
• Proven experience with ground-up and/or complex commercial builds
• Experience across sectors such as:
• Office
• Retail
• Industrial
• Healthcare
• Hospitality
• Education
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and scheduling
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency with construction management software preferred
