We are seeking a Manual Machinist for a well known Electric Motor Shop in Virginia Beach, VA. This role requires someone with manual machinist experience or someone with program experience as a CNC machinist.

Job Duties:
Manufacture and make repairs per instructions and/or drawings
Operate all machine shop equipment
Operate overhead cranes and perform rigging
Perform incoming and outgoing inspections
Properly fill out all paperwork
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience operating milling machines, lathes, boring mills, and grinders
Must have ability to work with extremely close tolerances (example: .0005” to .001”) and meet allotted timeframes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be physically able to safely operate equipment, able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and capable of standing/stooping/kneeling for long periods of time.
We are a service industry on call to our customers 24/7/365. To meet our customer's needs, employees must be able to work overtime as needed, including extended hours outside of assigned shift. This also includes weekends/holidays.
Openings on first and second shift. Overtime expected (weekends/holidays).
